CLARITY
All natural diamonds contain identifying clarity characteristics such as inclusion and blemishes. Invisible to the naked eye, inclusions when viewed through a jeweler’s magnifying loupe, look like feathers, clouds or minute crystals. No two diamonds have the exact same clarity characteristics in exactly the same location.
Inclusions are ranked on a scale of perfection, known as clarity, which was established by the Gemological Institute of America. Diamonds that reveal no such inclusions are categorized as flawless or internally flawless (IF) and are treasured for their rarity.
